About Me

The Full Story

Fitness never came “easy” to me. I had an insecure relationship with working out almost my entire high school career. I would stick to cardio machines most of my gym-going days because they were the only thing I knew how to do and I didn’t feel completely embarrassed doing them.

Fast forward almost a year later I adjusted to free weights and used some of my knowledge from previous training and workout videos I saw on Instagram and YouTube to help me navigate my way around the gym without feeling like a complete fool. I would hope to God no one around me at the gym would come up to me and say anything about my form or if I was doing a particular workout incorrectly. I went through stages of working out religiously, to working out every other month. Working out for my health, to solely working out to look good. I never found my ‘niche’ until honestly really recently.

I’m here to assure you that everyone starts from somewhere. Even the most “fit” person you see has started from the very beginning. So to anyone that’s struggling at the gym because of lack of confidence, motivation, knowledge or just downright afraid to do something wrong in front of your fellow gym goers, EVERYONE HAS BEEN THERE. Whether they like to admit it or not, everyone has had their fair share of mistakes and the “what the heck am I doing” moments.

So here I am now, ready and willing to serve as a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. I decided to own that role and be intentional about it. In such a saturated fitness community, I founded Word of Advice with a mission to give others advice they can trust, by someone that has been through it before.
